Problem to Solve

Busy professionals in their 30s want to enjoy adventure sports during trips but face two main hurdles:

  • Limited time

  • Gear logistics.

They need a quick way to find and rent quality equipment at their destination without the hassle of transport.

Why Ztoked in Hawai’i?

Hawaii’s diverse adventure sports scene and constant stream of visitors make it the perfect place to bring Ztoked to life and connect with outdoor enthusiasts.

What is the Solution?

Design an intuitive app that centralizes all the essential information needed to plan and enjoy extreme sports, whether for dedicated adventures or integrating them into family or work trips

Market Research

Our main competitors (Sendy APP, Onda APP, The Quiver.com, IO Adventure) operate public marketplaces for used sports gear, with some offering additional services like rentals, travel packages, and local guides.

We conducted a Competitive Analysis to find key market gaps and opportunities to differentiate our platform.

Ztoked Differentiator

Our focus is solely on connecting our clients with top-notch gear, whether it's for renting or buying new. Quick, easy, hassle free!

User Research

I conducted Qualitative Research through interviews with potential Ztoked users across different age groups (20s, 30s, and 40+). The participants included surfers and adventure sports enthusiasts.

These interviews helped identify user needs, pain points, and behaviors while revealing key demographic differences in income, preferences, and expectations.

This research guided our understanding of the problems Ztoked could solve.

  • Gear Travel Hassles

User Flow

Super intuitive, quick, and easy—basically, no hassle at all.

The main goal was to let users get to the gear as fast as possible, ideally in just three simple steps.

The tricky part was making sure the flow stayed efficient while still offering all the useful info. It was about striking that balance: keeping things simple and fast but still giving users everything they needed without overloading them.
